The biblical motivation of heaven enables believers to remain focused on outreach in light of the eternal destiny of the lost. Practical advice is given on how to manage the pain of life, stay the course and how ultimately to live for Christ.Today’s guest speaker was Dr. Gregory Maine from Lakeland Evangelical Free Church in Gurnee, IL. Dr. Maine currently serves as an elder at Lakeland and is on the Oversight Committee of LifeSpring Community Church. Sacrifice at the Tent – 02/13/11
How can a holy God dwell with his unholy people? He pictured the solution by having Israel build a tent and he designated sacrifice there. The greatest sacrifice was the day of atonement when the high priest went into the most holy place with blood. But this can’t really cleanse a person’s conscience. Jesus entered the real holy place and sat down.
