  • My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation – 01/02/11

As Christians, we do not place our hope in our mortal bodies, in the possessions God has given us, or even in human relationships because we know they will fail us. Because of our hope in Jesus the perishable will be clothed with the imperishable, the mortal with immortality. Jesus Christ brings eternal salvation so that no Christian needs to fear death.

  • Let’s Go See! – 12/26/10

Jesus is the seed from Eve that would crush the serpent’s head. He is the son of Abraham and the patriarchs. Jesus came from the line of David. He would be born of a virgin, worshiped by shepherds and honored by kings. He would be our high priest, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. One would come before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to prepare the way for Him. The message of all the prophets pointed to Jesus. This little child born in humble circumstances was sent as God’s message of redemption to humanity.

  • Very Sure and Full of Praise! – 12/19/10

The angel told Mary, nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37) We need to trust that God can and will do what He promises. Without trust relationships deteriorate quickly. When we fully trust God, it sets us up to worship Him. This means ascribing Him worth in the way we live our lives… Trust and worship! These things take place when the details of our lives match up with what we say we believe.

  • “I am the Lord’s servant, may it be to me as you have said.” – 12/05/10

Our Response to the Presence of God: “I am the Lord’s servant, may it be to me as you have said.”

What does the Incarnation of Jesus have to do with us today? Does it matter if it is real or myth? In Luke 1:25-38 Gabriel tells Mary that she will have a child. We consider the tremendous truth of the Second Person of the Trinity being born to a woman and we look at the implications of this even on our lives. Then, in Mary’s response we see what a response of faith looks like.
